His rugby league journey began with the Belconnen Warriors, where he developed his foundational skills in the junior ranks. Niko made his professional debut with the Burleigh Bears in 2021, marking the beginning of his senior career. His path to Bishop Park included a stint with the Mackay Cutters, demonstrating his ability to adapt and perform across different teams.
